3M Scotch Tape

In February 2011 we made five life-size figures from Scotch packaging tape for 3M's Scotch brand, shown at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) from 1 to 14 February 2011: three at SCAD Atlanta's Hub on Peachtree Street, one at the Gryphon Tea Room and one in the Alexander Hall Gallery in Savannah. Visitors could check in at the figures on Foursquare; at 500 check-ins, Scotch would give $10,000 to SCAD's sculpture department for student scholarships. The figures accompanied the Scotch Off the Roll Tape Sculpture Contest, sponsored by 3M, for which Mark Jenkins was a judge, and for the 2012 contest we made a sculpture shown in the time-lapse film below.
