Lacoste
In 2012 we made eight life-size tape sculptures of tennis players for the launch of Lacoste's limited-edition fragrance Eau de Lacoste L.12.12. The figures were cast from 300 rolls of clear tape and about 2,000 L.12.12 bottles, mostly white with some red and blue, and their poses were based on the playing style of René Lacoste. We made them in a temporary studio in Paris and, from 29 June to 3 July 2012, placed them in pairs at different locations in the city, changing location each day.
